When I began my film composer journey in 2020, I thought that the key to starting my career was to enroll in a masters program.
But the problem was, I already had $100K in student loans from studying science and I was working full-time in the medical field at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And I was frustrated with the vague advice given by composers online.
It was only when I realized that I could use the internet to discover and meet filmmakers that my career really began.
I built my own networking strategy, without knowing anyone in the industry, and have worked on over 20 projects myself and helped composers around the world connect with 100+ filmmakers as a result.
And I’ve never relied on competing with other composers for the same job or sending out hundreds of cold emails.
